Where/How do I get tickets?

Purchases can be made online through each respective event page or calendar listing on this site. Tickets are also available at the door, but can differ from the online price depending on the event sponsor. Pricing, availability, and refund policies vary from one event to the next. Free events will be clearly advertised as such, with admittance dependent upon first-come-first-served seating and space availability.

Do you accept credit and debit cards?

Yes. We accept both cash and cards at our box office, bar, and merchandise tables. 

 

Do you serve food or alcohol?

Yes and yes! For every event – unless otherwise specified – we offer a full bar and a rotating menu of food catered by Havre de Grace’s own Abbey Burger. All drink customers will be carded at the door.

 

What are First Fridays?

The State Theater is located in historic Havre de Grace, which organizes a city-wide block party on the First Friday of every month between Spring and Fall. Our outdoor showcases for these events are a new highlight of this wonderful tradition and a great way to sample what we offer year-round. Don’t stop coming when the weather gets cold, though, as we simply move the party inside!

 

Is outside food or drink allowed?

Outdoor food and drinks are not permitted.

 

Are there age restrictions?

Some shows or events may be geared more towards adults – such as certain stand-up comedy showcases, movies, or concerts – but generally speaking the variety of our programming ranges from Rated-“G” to Rated-“R” to accommodate all tastes. Each listing indicates the necessary expectations. Parental discretion is always advised.  No re-entry for persons under 21.

 

Is the building handicap accessible?

Absolutely. 

 

Is there a dress code?

No shirt/No shoes = No Service

 

Is there a bag or coat check?

Unfortunately, not at this time.

 

Where can I park?

Free street and lot parking are located within walking distance. Parking is first come, first served so we recommend arriving with ample time to find parking prior to your event. 

 

Is there public transportation nearby?

The Aberdeen Amtrak station is a mere 15 minutes away.

 

What items are prohibited?

No large bags or backpacks, selfie sticks, or weapons of any kind.
